September 26 as National Statistics Day

The President of Indonesia in August 1996 set the date of promulgation of Law Number 7 of 1960 concerning Statistics as "Statistics Day" which was carried out nationally. The reason is that the birth of the Act is a starting point for BPS in completing independence in the field of statistics which has been regulated based on the colonial legislation system. Then the Government of Indonesia established Laws Number 6 and 7 of 1960.
