The Susenas questions form the backbone of the SDGs, RPJMN, Nawacita indicators, and national welfare indicators. Data and indicators from Susenas have been widely used and are seen as one important piece of evidence that can be useful for planning, monitoring and evaluating government development programs. Information from Susenas is very important for sustainable development.
The March Susenas census in 2021 includes a sample of 345,000 households to produce data that is representative of the national level up to the district / city level. The questionnaire used is the Kor Susenas questionnaire and the Susenas Consumption / Expenditure Module.
The Kor Susenas questionnaire includes various indicators, including those related to population, education, health, fertility and family planning, housing, information and communication technology, social protection, and food insecurity. Meanwhile, the Consumption and Expenditure Module is the source of data for two of the four national development targets, namely the calculation of the poverty level and the Gini index.
