Towards the end of January 2022, BPS-Statistics of Bogor Municipality conducted the February National Labor Force Survey Training (Sakernas) which took place at the Padjadjaran Suite Resort & Convention Hotel at the Bogor Nirwana Residence Housing Jl. Bogor Inner Ringroad Lot XIX C-2 No 17, RT.01/RW.05, Mulyaharja, Kec. South Bogor, Bogor City, West Java. This training is carried out face-to-face for 2 (two) effective days, namely on 21 – 22 February 2022. The training is carried out in 1 (one) wave with 1 (one) class.
Prior to face-to-face training, a pretest was filled (a test of understanding pre-training officers by filling in the answers to questions in the google form link). The number of officers consists of 7 PCL (Field Enumerators) and 4 PML (Supervisory Officers/Field Inspectors), 1 Regional Instructor/Teacher, and 1 Committee.
The training event was opened by the Head of Bogor City BPS, Mr. Daryanto with regional instructor/teacher Mr. Agus Berlian Nur (as Coordinator of the Bogor City BPS Social Statistics Function). Health protocols are still applied in this training. The National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) is one of the most important sources of employment data in Indonesia. The Sakernas data has been widely used by various groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the continuity of the availability and quality of Sakernas data must be maintained and improved. Sakernas February 2022 was held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still difficult to predict when it will end. For this reason, the implementation of Sakernas still follows business processes that are adapted to the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, both in instruments, officer training, household updating, field enumeration, supervision, and evaluation of activities. All stages of activities must continue to apply health protocols strictly, while maintaining the quality of the Sakernas data produced.
The Head of BPS hopes that later the participants will be able to understand the concept/definition and Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) that has been given by the instructor in the field implementation later. In addition, the Head of BPS also explained that the purpose of the training was to equalize the perception of officers in understanding the concepts used and the procedures and procedures for filling out the questionnaires used in the survey.
The head of BPS also hopes that participants who take part in this Sakernas activity will dig up a lot of information from respondents so that they obtain accurate data and are able to fulfill the survey schedule, not forgetting to prioritize the quality of the data produced.
