Abstract

In June 2014 in Bogor City there was an inflation of 0.46 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 112.59 From 7 CPI cities in West Java recorded all cities experiencing inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Sukabumi by 0.48 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Bandung by 0.20 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the increase in the index. Changes in Bogor City index are: foodstuffs 1.63 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.28 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.21 percent; clothing 0.02 percent; health group 0.04 percent; education, recreation and sport groups are relatively stable and transportation, communication and financial services groups are 0.02 percent.

The 2014 calendar year inflation rate is 1.51 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (June 2014 to June 2013) is 5.84 percent.
