Abstract

In July 2014 in Kota Bogor there was an inflation of 0.69 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 113.37 Of the 7 CPI cities in West Java recorded all cities experiencing inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Bekasi of 1.05 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Sukabumi by 0.48 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the increase in the index. Changes in the Bogor City index were: foodstuffs 1.96 percent; food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.30 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.38 percent; clothing group 0.35 percent; health group 0.31 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.04 percent, transportation, communication and financial services group 0.44 percent.

The 2014 calendar year inflation rate is 2.22 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (July 2014 against July 2013) is 2.90 percent.
