Abstract

In November 2014 in the city of Bogor there was inflation of 1.49 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 116.33. The entire city of CPI in West Java recorded inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kota Bekasi at 1.99 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in Kota Cirebon at 1.00 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the rise in the index. Changes in Bogor Consumer Price Index by group are: food ingredients 2.27 percent; food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.57 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.22 percent; clothing group 0.13 percent; health group 0.03 percent, education, recreation and sports 0.02 percent, and transportation, communication and financial services group 5.37 percent.

The 2014 calendar year inflation rate is 4.89 percent and the year-on-year inflation rate (November 2014 to November 2013) is 5.41 percent.
