Abstract

The total workforce in August 2023 was 534,532 people, a decrease of 22,009 people compared to August 2022. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 0.60 percentage points from 64.21 percent to 64.81 percent.

The working population is 484,334 people, a decrease of 12,236 people from August 2022. The jobs that experienced the biggest decline were jobs in the manufacturing sector (12,786 people). Meanwhile, employment opportunities that experienced an increase were employment in the agricultural sector (454 people) and the services sector (96 people).

The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2023 was 9.39 percent, down 1.39 percentage points compared to August 2022 which was 10.78 percent
