Abstract

In September 2014 in Kota Bogor there was an inflation of 0.36 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 114.16. Of the 7 CPI cities in West Java, six cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Bandung of 0.057 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Depok by 0.04 percent. And one city experienced deflation occurred in the city of Tasikmalaya by 0.15 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the increase in the index. Bogor City index changes are: foodstuffs 0.36 percent; food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.01 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.75 percent; clothing group 0.13 percent; health group 0.46 percent; education, recreation and sports 0.18 percent and transportation, communication and financial services group 0.10 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year 2014 is 2.93 percent and year-on-year inflation rate (September 2014 to September 2013) is 3.56 percent.
