Abstract

In March 2015 in the city of Bogor there was inflation of 0.75 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 118.09. Of all CPI cities in West Java, five cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Bogor of 0.75 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Sukabumi by 0.11 percent. And two cities experienced deflation. The highest deflation occurred in the city of Cirebon of 0.39 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Bekasi by 0.37 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the increase in the index. Changes in Bogor city index were: foodstuffs group 1.44 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.25 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel 0.76 percent; clothing group -0.08 percent; health group 0.72 percent and education, recreation and sports 0.01 percent. And the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.88 percent.

The inflation rate for the calendar year of March 2015 is -0.34 percent and the inflation rate / year to year (March 2015 to March 2014) of 5.03 percent.
