Abstract

In April 2015 in the city of Bogor there was inflation of 0.71 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 118.93. Of all CPI cities in West Java, five cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Bogor by 0.71 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Bekasi by 0.10 percent. And two cities experienced deflation. The highest deflation occurred in the city of Depok by 0.20 percent and the lowest deflation occurred in the city of Sukabumi by 0.03 percent.

Inflation is due to the general rise in prices indicated by the rise in the index. Changes in Bogor city index were: foodstuff category -0.27 percent; food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group at 0.44 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.17 percent; clothing 0.10 percent; health group 0.34 percent and education, recreation and sports 0.01 percent. While the group of transportation, communications and financial services 3.99 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year April 2015 is 0.37 percent and the inflation rate / year to year (April 2015 to April 2014) is 6.23 percent.
