Abstract

In August 2015 in the city of Bogor there was inflation of 0.58 percent or an increase in consumer price index (CPI) to 121.25 Of the seven cities of CPI in West Java recorded six cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in the city of Bekasi of 0.82 percent and the lowest inflation occurred in the city of Tasikmalaya by 0.37 percent. And one city experienced deflation of Cirebon city of -0.06 percent.

Inflation occurs because in general there is a price increase indicated by the increase in index. Changes in Bogor city index are: foodstuffs 143 percent; food, beverage, cigarette and tobacco group by 0.39 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel by 0.09 percent; clothing group 0.13 percent; health group 0.15 percent and education, recreation and sports group 1.86 percent. While the transportation, communication and financial services group 0.11 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year of August 2015 is 2.33 percent and the inflation rate / year to year (August 2015 to August 2014) is 6.59 percent.
